Warriors and Trail Blazers Face Off in Western Conference Showdown
The Golden State Warriors take on the Portland Trail Blazers at Moda Center on Wednesday night.

The Warriors (5-23) sport a record that says everything about how their season has gone thus far, and fittingly, they'll come into Wednesday's game having dropped eight of their last nine contests. Their most recent defeat came against the Sacramento Kings, which toppled them by a 100-79 score on Sunday night. Willie Cauley-Stein led the way with 14 points, adding five rebounds, two assists and six steals. Damion Lee delivered 13 points, five rebounds, five assists and one steal. Alec Burks totaled 11 points off the bench, D'Angelo Russell mustered just eight points on 2-for-9 shooting but also dished out eight assists.

The Warriors will continue to be without Stephen Curry (hand) and Klay Thompson (knee) for Wednesday's game.

The Trail Blazers (11-16) come into Wednesday's contest looking to right their own ship to an extent, as they've dropped four of their last seven games. Their most recent time on the court did result in a win, however, as they edged the Phoenix Suns by a 111-110 score Monday night. C.J. McCollum led the way with 30 points, complementing them with seven rebounds and six assists. Damian Lillard delivered 27 points, five assists and one rebound. Carmelo Anthony supplied 23 points, eight rebounds, one assist, three blocks and two steals. Kent Bazemore went for 11 points, while Hassan Whiteside contributed a 10-point, 14-rebound double-double that also included three blocks and one steal.

The Trail Blazers will list Mario Hezonja (back) as questionable for Wednesday's game, while Nassir Little (back) will carry a probable tag. Jusuf Nurkic (leg), Zach Collins (shoulder) and Rodney Hood (Achilles) will be out.
