Heat Throttles Warriors, 122-105
The Miami Heat defeated the Golden State Warriors, 122-105, at American Airlines Arena on Friday night.

The Heat (13-5) were looking to keep their home record unblemished with an eighth straight win at AA Arena to open the campaign, and they got off to a sensational start in that regard Friday. Miami outscored the Warriors (4-16) by a 41-21 margin through the first 12 minutes, setting the tone for what would be another double-digit home win. Golden State added managed to put a seven-point deficit into their deficit by halftime, but the home squad outscored them by a 51-47 margin over the third and four quarters for the comfortable victory.

Jordan Poole led the way for the Warriors with 20 points, adding one rebound and one assist. Eric Paschall provided 17 points, one rebound and one assist. Alec Burks poured in 16 points and also posted one assist, one rebound and two steals. Willie Cauley-Stein turned in 14 points, six boards and one block. Omari Spellman registered 12 points, four rebounds, two steals and one block.

Goran Dragic paced the Heat with 20 points, adding five rebounds, four assists and one steal. Tyler Herro turned in 19 points and five boards. Duncan Robinson poured in 17 points and also managed two rebounds and one assist. Jimmy Butler delivered 16 points, six assists, five rebounds and two steals. Kris Nunn and Kelly Olynyk pitched in matching 15-point tallies while pulling down four and two rebounds, respectively.

The Warriors remain on the road and in Florida, tangling next with the Orlando Magic on Sunday evening. The Heat hit the road and face the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday afternoon.
