Grizzlies Topple Wizards, 127-112
The Memphis Grizzlies defeated the Washington Wizards, 127-112, at FedEx Forum on Wednesday night.

The Grizzlies (17-16) set the right tone early, jumping out to a 35-26 lead through one quarter, and they ultimately went into the final period with a nine-point edge that they never relinquished at any point in the fourth quarter. Memphis thrived offensively to the tune of a 50.5 percent shooting, and their 60-39 rebounding advantage was also key to their success.

Bradley Beal led the Wizards with 21 points despite shooting just 6-for-22 from the field, adding five assists, three rebounds, three steals and one block. Russell Westbrook generated a 20-point, 10-assist double-double that also included five rebounds and three steals. Deni Avdija and Davis Bertans posted 13 points each while recording six and two rebounds, respectively. Rui Hachimura contributed 11 points and six rebounds.

Jonas Valanciunas paced the Grizzlies with a 29-point, 20-rebound double-double that also included three assists and four blocks. Ja Morant managed 21 points, 10 assists and six rebounds. Desmond Bane supplied 20 points, four rebounds, one assist and one steal. Kyle Anderson compiled 13 points, five boards and three assists. De'Anthony Melton and Dillon Brooks totaled 11 and 10 points, respectively, while also mustering two rebounds apiece.

The Wizards head back home to face the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday night, while the Grizzlies remain home and take on the Denver Nuggets on Friday night as well.
