Warriors Stay Composed And Steal Game 2 In Toronto
The Golden State Warriors defeated the host Toronto Raptors, 109-104, in Game 2 of the NBA Finals, at Scotiabank Arena on Sunday evening.

The game got out to a hot start as the two teams matched each other well in the first quarter, with Toronto holding a one-point lead heading into the second. The Raptors pushed their lead to nine early in the second and to 12, with 4:40 left in the half. However, the Warriors made a run to cut it to a five-point game by halftime. The Warriors came out on fire to start the third, while the Raptors hit a major lull in their offense, as the Warriors scored 18 points unanswered to take a 13-point lead by the halfway mark in the quarter. The Raptors were never able to recover as they managed to make it a single digit game, but could not get within more than a couple possessions the rest of the way. The Warriors held on to secure the road win and even the series at 1-1. Klay Thompson (leg) left the game in the fourth quarter and did not return. Kevon (chest) Looney also left the game and did not return.

Klay Thompson led the Warriors with 25 points, five rebounds, five assists and one steal, in 32 minutes. Stephen Curry finished with 23 points, four assists, three rebounds and three steals, while DeMarcus Cousins added 11 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and two blocks. The Warriors shot 46 percent from the field, including 13-of-34 from deep.

Meanwhile, Kawhi Leonard led the Raptors with 34 points, 14 rebounds, three assists, a steal and a block, in 39 minutes. Fred VanVleet followed up with 17 points, four rebounds, two assists and three steals, while Kyle Lowry tallied 13 points, two assists, a rebound and a steal. The Raptors shot 37 percent from the field, including 11-of-38 from long range.

Game 3 will take place on Wednesday in Golden State.
