Raptors and Hawks Tangle In Matinee Action
The Toronto Raptors take on the Atlanta Hawks at State Farm Arena on Monday afternoon.

The Raptors (28-14) check into Monday's game on an upswing, as they've prevailed in four of the last five games. Their most recent success came at the expense of the Minnesota Timberwolves, which they toppled by a 122-112 margin Saturday night. Fred VanVleet led the Raptors with 29 points, adding four rebounds, two assists and four steals. Backcourt mate Kyle Lowry followed with 28 points, complementing them with seven rebounds, two assists and one steal. Pascal Siakam delivered 14 points, four boards, three assists and four steals. Serge Ibaka furnished 12 points, six rebounds, three assists and one steal.

The Raptors will likely remain without Dewan Hernandez (ankle) for Monday's contest.

The Hawks (10-33) come into Monday's contest in the midst of a spiral befitting their unsightly record, as they've dropped six of their last nine games. Their most recent debacle consisted of a 136-103 drubbing at the hands of the Detroit Pistons on Saturday night. John Collins paced the Hawks with 20 points, supplementing them with five rebounds and two blocks. De'Andre Hunter followed with 19 points, five boards, three assists, one block and one steal. Trae Young supplied 16 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and one steal. Jeff Teague totaled 15 points, seven assists, three rebounds, one steal and one block.

The Hawks will continue without Jabari Parker (shoulder) and Chandler Parsons (concussion) for Monday's game, while Alex Len (back) will carry a doubtful designation.

Monday's game marks the second of four meetings between the teams this season. The Raptors hold a 1-0 series lead, having notched a 119-116 win Nov. 23.
